Editorial Policy

This page explains how the content on Tarot Readings Free is produced, who is responsible for it, and how we correct it when we get something wrong. It applies to every card meaning, spread guide and article on the site.

What we publish

We publish two kinds of material: reference pages that explain what individual tarot, Lenormand and Visconti-Sforza cards traditionally mean, and guides that explain how to lay out and read a spread. Our readings are interactive tools that draw cards at random. They are written for reflection and entertainment.

How the content is written and reviewed

  • Card meanings are grounded in the established literature for each deck, and in the imagery actually printed on the card being described.
  • Each deck is treated on its own terms. Petit Lenormand, for example, is traditionally read upright and in combinations, so we do not describe reversed meanings for it the way we would for a Rider-Waite card.
  • Drafts are checked for factual accuracy against the deck they describe, and for claims that overstate what a card can tell you. Timing and yes/no interpretations are presented as reading conventions, not as facts.
  • Pages are reviewed again whenever we expand or restructure a section.

Use of AI

We use AI tools to help draft and expand some explanatory sections and frequently asked questions. Nothing is published purely on the strength of a machine draft: material is checked against the source deck, corrected where it is wrong or too generic, and edited before it goes live. We do not use AI to invent history, provenance or card counts.

What this content is not

Tarot is not a substitute for professional advice. We do not provide medical, legal, financial or psychological guidance, and we do not promise outcomes. If you are dealing with a health, legal or money problem, please speak to a qualified professional.

Corrections

If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page and say which page it is on. We correct genuine mistakes rather than leaving them in place, and we update pages when the explanation can be made clearer.
